Er is veel sneeuw gevallen de laatste dagen. Eindelijk een beetje winter. Op de sportschool kreeg ik een klein ongelukje: tijdens een oefening mistte ik mijn balans en viel schuin achterover met mijn rechter ribbenkast op de achterste hoek van de roeimachine. Uff! wat deed dat zeer! En ik kreeg even geen adem! Had ook moeite met ademhalen daarna. Na een tijd op de grond te hebben gezeten met een aantal van de medecursisten rondom me heen die hulp gaven, kon ik weer gaan staan. Ik werd op een bankje gezet en moest daar even bijkomen. Toen ging het wel weer en wilde ik verder trainen. Maar daar wilde de instructeur niets van weten: \u201eJe gaat contact opnemen met de dokter en volgt diens instructies!\u201c. Dus ik eindigde de training, ging eerst naar de winkel om het Gert te vertellen, toen naar huis en belde de dokterspost. Diverse vragen werden gesteld. Ik had geen zin om helemaal naar \u00c5lesund te rijden voor het maken van een r\u00f8ntgenfoto: het zou aan de behandeling toch niets uitmaken of er ribben gekneusd of gebroken waren. In beide gevallen is het een concervatieve behandeling: rust houden en pijnstillers nemen. We spraken af dat ik het aan zou zien en als het toch erger werd ik altijd weer contact op kon nemen. Ik heb me gedouched en ben naar Stolt Mat gegaan, waar de nodige sneeuw lag en waar Gert zat en het allemaal aanhoorde. Ik baalde ervan want nu kan ik de komende dagen, wellicht weken, niet trainen vanwege de pijn. We hadden overwogen om af te zeggen, maar nee, het is altijd gezellig met hen. Nog veel meer mooie sneeuw bijgevallen. Heel graag hadden we willen ski\u00ebn maar door de pijnlijke ribbenkast kwam daar jammer genoeg niets van. Daarom hebben we een heel eind gewandeld in het dorp, om toch lekker buiten te zijn. Ik kon echt niet werken.
